CEF is proud to honor Peter and Veronica Mallouk with the Catholic Education Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2026 Gaudeamus Annual Benefit Gala in recognition of their years of faithful service to Catholic schools, parishes, and the people of northeast Kansas. Their enduring commitment to Catholic education and faith formation has strengthened schools and inspired countless students, families, and educators.
About Peter and Veronica Mallouk
Rooted in faith and a deep commitment to giving back, Peter and Veronica Mallouk have built their lives around making a meaningful difference in the Catholic community and beyond.
Peter is the CEO of Creative Planning. Veronica previously worked at Accenture and served as CFO of Creative Planning. She now works part-time at Creative Planning while dedicating significant time to philanthropy, including volunteering at Children’s Mercy Hospital, managing the family’s foundation, and serving on the board of the School of Faith.
Peter has been named a Bloch School of Management Entrepreneur of the Year and induction into the Entrepreneur Hall of Fame at UMKC as well as the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. He and Veronica were also recognized with the University of Kansas Distinguished Alumni Award. Nationally, Peter has been widely recognized in the financial industry, including being ranked the #1 Advisor in America by Barron’s for three consecutive years. Creative Planning is the only firm to be named #1 by all three major industry rankings: CNBC, Forbes and Barron’s. This year, the Wall Street Journal named Creative Planning as the Best Place in America for Comprehensive Wealth Management. Creative Planning has also been featured by the Business Journal as the Best Large Company to Work for, two years in a row.
Together, Peter and Veronica are deeply committed to supporting children and families in their community. Peter and Veronica are two of the founders of KC CAN, an organization focused on improving the lives of children in Kansas City. Peter also founded Pathway Financial Education, which provides accessible financial education to underserved communities and Urban Market Institute which funds inner city businesses. Their philanthropic efforts include support for Catholic Charities, the Bright Futures Fund, Giving the Basics, the Ten Parks Project ensuring an all-inclusive playground is within 10 miles of every child in Kansas City and numerous initiatives benefiting children and families, in addition to the Catholic Education Foundation.
Peter and Veronica have been married for 28 years and are proud parents of three children: Michael, who lives in Kansas City, and twins JP and Gabby, both sophomores at the University of Kansas.
The Mallouks are active members of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, and their children attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School before continuing on to the University of Kansas. Peter, a Rockhurst alumnus, holds degrees in political science, business, and economics, along with a law degree and MBA. Veronica graduated from St. Mary’s-Colgan High Catholic School in Pittsburg, KS and the University of Kansas.
