We are thrilled to announce the addition of five remarkable individuals to the Catholic Education Foundation's Board of Directors. Each new member brings a wealth of experience, passion and dedication to furthering our mission of putting Catholic education within reach for students most in need.

Tom Freeman is the Managing Director of FCS Private Wealth Management and Family Office. Tom earned his undergraduate degree from the University Of Notre Dame, where he was a two year starting offensive lineman, and advanced business degrees from Harvard Business School and the University of Notre Dame. He had a brief career with the Kansas City Chiefs and is ranked as the “36th Best NFL Player on Wall Street” by the Business Insider. Tom and his wife Molly are parishioners at St. Ann Catholic Church in Prairie Village.

Rita Hyde is a physician for the University of Kansas Health System. She earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas and completed her residency at St. Luke's Hospital of Kansas City. Rita and her husband Mark are members of the Church of the Nativity parish in Leawood. Their three daughters attended Good Shepherd Catholic School and St. Theresa’s Academy in Kansas City, Missouri.

Lisa McKelvey is the Director of Stewardship and Development for the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. Lisa earned her undergraduate degree from University of Oklahoma and completed a Master of Arts in Philanthropy and Development from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. Prior to joining the Archdiocese in 2024, Lisa was the Director of Stewardship and Development for the Diocese of Corpus Christi in Texas.

Fr. Anthony Saiki is an ordained priest and rector of the Cathedral of St. Peter the Apostle and Resurrection Catholic School in Kansas City, Kansas. Fr. Saiki has seen first hand the impact that CEF scholarships have on students, schools and communities.

“Because our young people are able to attend Catholic school, the Cathedral neighborhood has remained a vibrant neighborhood, and the parish and school have remained an active center for families and the whole community. So many students would not be able to attend a Catholic school if it were not for CEF and its incredible mission.”
- Fr. Anthony Saiki

Joe Stasi is the Chief Financial Officer for GEHA. Joe is a graduate of Holy Cross Catholic School, Rockhurst High School and Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri. He is an active member of the Cure of Ars parish in Leawood and serves on the Board of Directors and as the chair of the Finance Committee for John Knox Village in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
