We are pleased to welcome Bill Hess to the Catholic Education Foundation's Board of Directors! Bill is a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus parish in Shawnee, KS and shares CEF’s passion for Catholic education.

Bill is the Vice President of Wealth Management with Commerce Trust. He grew up in Leavenworth and attended Xavier Catholic School and Immaculate High School. After high school, Bill attended Rockhurst University and later earned his law degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.

"I am a product of Catholic education, and I can’t imagine how different things would have been had I not attended Catholic school."

The Hess family is very active in the community at Sacred Heart of Jesus. Bill's wife, Kathleen, teaches 8th grade ELA at Sacred Heart and over the years, both have served in many leadership roles in the parish and school.

"I want to do my part so that all parents in the archdiocese that want to send their children to Catholic school have the opportunity and financial support to do so."
