CEF's Guardian Angel Fund recently helped two siblings remain in the CEF school they have attended since preschool after an injury kept their father out of work for a year. Due to medical issues, their mother has been unable to work consistently, and without the father's income the family was unable to afford their tuition payments. They sold their home near the school and moved to another home further away in an effort to reduce their expenses, but were unable to keep up with the housing costs and moved in with a relative.
"They are passionate members of our parish and school community and volunteer often," the principal wrote in her application on their behalf. "Throughout this unfortunate journey both parents have frequently said that the only consistency in their children’s lives is our school."
Assistance from the Guardian Angel Fund combined with income from a new job for the father allowed the students to remain in their school. For more information on the CEF Futures, which sponsors the Guardian Angel Fund, contact us.
