Enrollment continues to grow in many Catholic schools throughout the Archdiocese as parents seek schools with values-based, family-centered education and rigorous academics. However, tuition can be a barrier for families in need - many living at or below the poverty line.
Thankfully, with support from CEF donors, we are poised to award a record amount of scholarship funding for the 2022-23 school year! By providing Catholic schools with a reliable source of funding, CEF provides a bridge for low-income families and support students can rely on throughout their K-12 career.
During the 2021-22 school year, more than 1,600 students in 26 schools received CEF scholarship assistance. With CEF schools in 11 of the 21 counties within the Archdiocese, CEF is reaching more students than ever before. Students throughout northeast Kansas who otherwise could not afford a Catholic education now have the opportunity to grow and learn in supportive environments that offer a path to academic and lifelong success.
