When I spoke to the guests at Gaudeamus 2018, I shared my past challenges, including my cancer diagnosis, and my hopes and dreams for the future. I am graduating from Bishop Ward High School next month and I am happy to inform you that I can continue to be cancer free. I will be taking the generous offer from The University of Saint Mary, which was the full tuition scholarship.

I am also wrapping up my senior year. I have been nominated for the Lumen Christi Award, and I’m in the top 10 of our class. I will graduate with 4 dual college credit courses, and as a member of Academy of Finance, Reach, and National Honors Society. I am also currently wrapping up my service project for the homeless. My group and I have made more than 50 care packages for homeless men, women and children.

I will be a student athlete in college as I have officially signed to play volleyball at Saint Mary. I have also continued to follow my dream to become a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. I have registered for my college classes and have spoken to my college counselor about potentially finishing college in 3 years instead of 4. I am so grateful to everyone who supported my education at Bishop Ward High School and I ask for your prayers as I continue my education at the University of St. Mary.
