Established in 1997 by a small, dedicated group of Catholics, the Catholic Education Foundation set out to change the status quo and make Catholic education accessible to all families, regardless of their financial means.

Through the generosity of donors and the great performance of our Catholic schools, the Catholic Education Foundation grew.

Together, with local business and Archdiocesan leaders, CEF's founding families championed Catholic education and helped the Foundation lead the way for thousands of students of all backgrounds to receive a high-quality, faith-focused education.

This year, CEF will award $4 million in scholarships to more than 1,800 students attending 27 schools in the Archdiocese. And 64% of the schools in the Archdiocese are providing CEF scholarships to low-income families.

In total, CEF has provided more than $28 million in scholarships to students in need, holding steadfast to our founders' vision to support Catholic education.

"What the CEF founders envisioned is reaping greater rewards than ever." - Dr. Vince Cascone, Superintendent of Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas.
