On Thursday, February 12 we enjoyed another sold-out Art Event and raised enough funds for 30 CEF scholarships. The evening opened with a beautiful talk and prayer by Fr. John Riley who reminded us of the Church’s important role in cultivating art and beauty in the world and thanked those in attendance for supporting the Catholic Education Foundation through stewardship and prayer. Professional artists donated over 20 pieces of beautiful artwork for the silent auction while a generation of future artists from CEF schools created works that were raffled off at the end of the evening.

Guests enjoyed live music by local guitarist Jeff Jenkins and Eileen McCoy created caricatures of those in attendance. And the food!  his year’s event was catered by Jack Stack, Cakes by Aggie…and of course, drinks by Boulevard.

This was my third year at the art event and I was—again—moved by the beautiful connections in our Catholic community. It was edifying to see so many people who treasure CEF to come together in an evening of fellowship and fun to make Catholic education possible for those who desire it.

Can’t wait for next year!
